Louis Arthur Charles is very handsome, but I would have liked them to choose a name that George doesn't already have as a middle name. I know that Lord Mountbatten was a very important man to Prince William though, so it's understandable that he'd use it again.

 

George, Charlotte, and Louis make a lovely sibset.

It's very very weird that they repeated a name.
Isn't there another way they could've honored him again other than repeating?

I have to agree! I was a bit disappointed after seeing Louis (I thought it was Lou-is but Lou-ee sounds nicer with the middle names) and Charles, because they had already use Louis and Charlotte. I'm also not a fan of Charles but at least, it's better than Albert, from my point of view.
It would be sweet if they used Louis as a third middle name, like in George's name. It would be a cute connection between siblings. However, as a first name it takes some individuality away from Prince Louis, in my opinion, despite George's middle names not being frequently mentioned.
I do love Arthur, it would have been an handsome first name!

It's a very nice name, but I definitely wish Arthur were his first instead of Louis! I'm excited for the family though, such cute children and such a happy family <3

Wow, this name completely took me by surprise. I'm with the majority of you, wishing they had not reused a name they had already given to Prince George. Oh well, Louis Arthur Charles does flow well and I do like it better than Albert. Although, if he is a ginger like his uncle, I may consistently think about King Louie from The Jungle Book.      Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis - sounds like a good sib set. Also - I'm shocked they didn't use "Philip" somewhere! Does this mean they may be holding it for a possible baby #4???

If they had a #4 and it was a girl, I would 100% be upset if they ruined their pattern and didn't use Diana.
George's 2nd middle name is Louis' first
Louis' 2nd middle name is the male version of Charlotte's.
So now I'd feel like they'd have to use Charlotte's 2nd middle (Diana) for baby #4's first. Which I can't even imagine them actually doing.

And if Louis is a ginger, I will laugh so hard.
