Nicknames for vs. Persephone
Last name is one syllable beginning with a hard C. FH studies mythology and loves the name Persephone (per-SEF-uh-nee). I'm admittedly also a fan, but I can't think of any ways to nickname it. Otherwise, saying "Persephone" every time could be a bit of a mouthful. Any ideas? Thanks so much :) - Emme

I knew a girl with the name and her nickname was Percy
I love Persephone! It's actually one of my favorite names! I know a Persephone who sometimes is called Persie (pronounced exactly like Percy) by her family. But a lot of people call her by her full name as well, including me. I also know a horse at the stable I help out at whose full name is Persephone, but is called Persy (also pronounced exactly like Percy) most of the time. Personally I don't think it's too long though and I would just call her by her full name. It's the same length as, for example, Alexandra, Elizabeth and Isabella, which I know people with all three of the names who only go by their full name. But that's just my opinion.
