Kaila vs. Kyla
We really like the spelling of Kaila but are worried that everyone will pronounce it wrong and end up saying Kay-la instead of Ky-la. Which way would you pronounce Kaila on first look? Should we just stick with the Kyla spelling to make it easier for people to know how we want it pronounce? Thank you for the help.

I first assumed Kaila was pronounced 'Kayla' instead of 'Kyla'. I think 'Kayla' would be the much more common impression in English-speaking countries since 'ai' is usually pronounced 'ay' instead of 'eye'.

Spell it Kyla. One year I taught a Kyla and a Kaila pronounced Kyla moved in. I tried hard but I was ways saying Kayla. I taught several Kailas that pronounced it Kayla. I think that is the favored pronunciation for this name.

Kaila is always going to be pronounced Kayla. Kyla should not have an A in it, it's unnecessary and doesn't go with pronunciation

My name is Kyla and people still call me Kayla all the time, so I say go with the spelling you like because no matter what people will call her Kayla
