No, not every name needs to turn into a girl's name.She is a girl find a name that is definitely a girl's name. Rio and River have become overused. I wouldn't use it on anybody.

I wouldn't. I don't like this whole trend. Some names are unisex but Rio doesn't really fit in. I also don't like how some people (not assuming you fit this) will choose something like James for a girl but wouldn't dare give a son something too soft or girly… it's a silly trend. I would suggest a middle name.
