Aidan vs. Aydan
Which spelling is the best? The traditional Irish spelling or the Americanized spelling Aydan? I don't really like the spellings Aiden and Ayden because they look "unbalanced" and less simple with the e's because it's like 1 a 1 e. Making it kinda unbalanced. These though look balanced since they have 2 a's. That makes it more simple to me somehow. Which one do you like better?

In my opinion, if you're going to use a name from a particular culture, you should respectfully spell and pronounce it the way that culture does. For me, Aidan is the most authentic.
Spell it your favorite way. He won't have a problem. People that know him will know how to spell his name

"People that know him will know how to spell his name" I assure you that is not in the least true. Tons of people who know me don't seem to be able to remember that my name is spelled in the slightly less usual way.
