I agree with all three Guests above me.
I don't know how it's pronounced in Scandinavia but in English I could see it being like "son of a…". But if that doesn't bother you then go for it.

Sunniva is pronounced "SOO- nee-vah" with the emphasis on the first syllable. If pronounced correctly, it's not similar to the phrase "son of *****" at all. But that's a big "if" depending on where you live.
I like the name Sunniva myself. It was the name of an Irish-born saint believed to have been martyred in Norway where she is venerated (particularly western Norway and Bergen). It has various meanings of "sun gift/gift of the sun/god's gift/divine grace". I think it's a beautiful and unique choice.
