Megan vs. Meagan vs. Meghan
Trying to settle on a spelling for Megan. I will be pronouncing it May-gan regardless of how we spell it. I am not trying to be trendy at all, actually trying to avoid it, but there are a lot of spelling options for this one around. Thanks for the help.

I like all three (but the one with the h the least). Perhaps it would help to write it out to yourself with your last name. See which one is more aesthetically pleasing.

i spell my name Megan. i mite be biased but i like that it is the simplest spelling and looks complete where as imo Maigan, Meagan, etc. look odd. Meghan also is a nice spelling and is fairly common. the simpler the spelling the less trendy it will be.

Thanks for the help so far. I’m not trying to be unique either. If her name is spelled the same as every other Megan out there, that is just fine with me. There aren’t that many Megan’s around anyway. No need to suggest other spellings, I’d like it to be as common as possible with still being pronounced "May-gan". Do you see a problem with pronouncing it that way but spelling it "Megan"? Thanks again.

I like it better pronounced May-Gan. I know a Megan (that is called Meg-an), a Meagan (that is called May-gan). Why not Maygan?! or Maegan!

To me, Megan, Meagan, Meghan, etc. is MEG-an.
Meegan would be MEE-gan, and Maegan would be MAY-gan.
In my opinion, to spell it Megan, and pronounce it MAY-gan, is mispronouncing a perfectly good name. To spell it Maegan, in my opinion, would give a heads up to people reading her name of what the correct pronunciation is.
