Tarlo vs. Alani vs. Andren
I’m looking for a unique boy’s name, but I want it to mean something. No made up names or weird spelling variations. I’m liking these names so far...what do you think? Be honest!
Tarlo: Kiowa for "bear cub"
Alani: Hawaiian for "orange tree"
Andren: Swedish for "manly"
I’m also open to suggestions. Thanks!
The Top Baby Name is...
Tarlo
Alani
Andren

Andren isn’t bad. Alani sounds pretty feminine and Tarlo just sounds terrible.

Um...how are they bad meanings? All I meant was that I want names that actually exist and mean something and aren’t totally made up. (And I think a bear cub is a great allegory for a baby boy, and orange is my favorite color.)

See, here’s the problem I keep having with boys’ names: I find a name whose meaning I love, but the name itself doesn’t really do it for me. Like Kenn--love the meaning, but I just think of Ken and Barbie. Same with Renny--my husband and I are both short (I’m 5’3" and he’s 5’7"), so I think that meaning is perfect, but it sounds like runny nose! Anyway, I like:
Kele
Jotham (though we’re not religious, so I don’t know about the meaning)
Ahron
Jacek
Ryons
It’s so nice to see that other people on here like names other than Mason and Caden! :)

Andren and Tarlo are okay but i think you might have gone a bit too far with Alani. its sounds a bit too girly but now i think about it.....tarlo is very cute. Andren is still just okay! at least these names are a little bit different to Ethan, Jack and other extremely popular names!
