Ryatt vs. Riott vs. Riot

My husband and I met at a Three Days Grace concert. The song "Riot" was playing when we saw each other for the first time. This name has special meaing to us. If it’s a girl her name will be Grace. Which spelling do you like? And can you give me some middle names for Grace and Riot/Ryatt/Riott? Thanks

I voted for Ryatt because its less obvious. I understand the sentimentality of the name but I dont know if this is a great name for a child... How about a name with Days in it like
Dayson or something, or name him after the city the concert was in, or give him and name that is a combination of the two of your names. I love the name Grace though :)

You could also do Dayton Ryatt or Daylon Ryatt if you really like Ryatt

Maybe you could use Ryatt as a middle name. Jackson Ryatt, Emerson Ryatt, Ethan Ryatt, Grace Olivia, Grace Ann, Grace Kathryn, Gracie Paige, Gracie Elizabeth.

Whoops. Sent that twice. Poster, I really, really like Grace Olivia! :-D Do you like Riott Oliver? I thought you just might. If you don’t, I hope you choose Dayton Oliver, Dayton Ryatt, Riott Matthew, or Dayton Bradley. I don’t care for Dayton Blaze or Dayton Blake, sorry. Too many a’s in them.

I loved the name Ryatt when I seen it and named my son Ryatt James, his grandpa calls him RJ and I call him Ry as a nickname .. Love the name so much, happy with our pick.

I’m so glad to see people who like this name! I want to spell it "Ryett." I just posted this on the Baby Center Baby Names forum and most were so negative and rude about it. :(

If we have a boy, we are naming him Riot. Riot Whalen. Whalen is the first part of dad’s hyphenated last name and we aren’t giving our kids hyphenated last names so we decided to keep part of it as a middle name for one of our children as to still honor his mother who passed.

I love love LOVE the name Riot. We have every intention of naming our boy Riot Gray when he makes his appearance in a few short months. There are a lot of negative people out there who have children with boring, washed up, dried out, has been names. My child need not share his name with 7 other kids in his classroom.

I don’t feel you should have to change the spelling to appease people either... The true definition of "Riot" is; "a brilliant display". It’s not just chaos and looting in the streets for craps sake.
