Rachelle vs. Raychel vs. Raechel
My husband and I have decided on the name Rachael Elizabeth for our daughter due Nov. 4th, only problem is we cant decide how to spell Rachael. We dont like the spellings Rachael/Rachel partly because we would like to have something more unique since Rachael Elizabeth is a pretty common name. Whats your favorite out of these? Thanks!

Hi, my name is Rachael Lynn. I love the way my name is spelt. I’ve never met anyone with the name who spells it with the "ael" like mine. The only problem I’d say is that I’ve always had to correct people on how to spell it. best of luck

The reason Rachel is so common is because it’s so pretty. Misspelling Rachel doesn’t look unique, it looks uneducated. If you have to have a different spelling, Rachelle doesn’t look as uneducated as Raychel or Raechel. I apologize if this was offensive, as it was not intended to be. I would merely like to stress that Rachel is the best spelling.

I would pronounce Rachelle like ra-SHELL, out of these options I like Raychel best, but I also think you should spell it Rachel.

I agree with pp about the pronunciation of Rachelle.
I think Rachael (or Rachel) is fine the way it is. I realize you are afraid of it being too popular, but changing the spelling doesn’t make the name anymore interesting or non-traditional. If you want a unique feel for a name, go with a different middle name, but don’t fix something that isn’t broken. Rachael is fine the way it is

I think you should stick with the common spelling Rachel. Plus I agree with the others I think if you spell if differently you are going to get a beautiful name mispronounced alot.

I have always loved the biblical spelling of Rachael the best! Some names just shouldn’t be messed with.
I love Raechel and I thought is was being original by keeping my maiden surname RAE in the spelling of her name
