Spelling Options For the Name vs. Jeremiah Please!!!

Please help us with spelling options, I don’t want to spell it the usual way so any suggestions please. Also, besides Jeremiah we like the name Enrique and Lorenzo but I’m afraid it’s too weird in English and I don’t want that to be a problem in the future. Although they sound really nice in Spanish, at the end of the day English is what will mainly be spoken. Any thoughts on this??? Thanks :)

I think you should stick with Jeremiah. A different spelling would be to spell it

Why not stick to the original and save your son the trouble of having to spell his name out for people his whole life?

I agreee! I wouldn’t change the spelling! Jeremiah doesn’t sound at all spanish. I’m in a similar situation with dual languaes and we are going to give our boy a traditional name but my hubby’s family will call him his spanish nickname. Max nn Maximo

I think Jeremiah will work best in the US. But...I would definitely stick with the original spelling, there’s nothing wrong with it and if you change it your son will spend his life spelling out his name. Jeremiah isn’t overly popular, so you don’t need to change the spelling to make him "unique."

I spell my son’s middle name Jerimiah. I did it on purpose... I still get people thinking I don’t know how to spell. It’s a name, people... I can spell it however I want ;)

I k ow this is old... but i named my son Jera'Miah. Thanks to this post! I thought it was beautiful and original.. I wanted different so I went with it. People have been giving me a hard time about it but, in the end, it's my son and I'll spell his name how I want. (:
