I prefer Axel.

I have seen it spelled both ways, but I have not seen either on a child.

I see it on these polls occasionally, always as Axel.

I would spell it the correct way, Axel. I’ve never seen it spelled the other way, but don’t care for it.

I like it spelled Axle because i’ve never seen it spelled like that so it would be different. But in the long run its really up to them which spelling cause they have to live with it. Its there baby boy

I know, she just told me I could ask what everyone thought because she was iffy about it herself and wanted to know, but thanks for your opinions.

I don’t know why everyone thinks Axel is the right way to spell it, I like that way also, but the ’real’ word and the ’real’ spelling of it is actually Axle, people started switching it to use it as a name and not be compared directly to a car axel. I like both ways and am considering it myself, but everyone is all don’t name him axle, name him axel if you do....well thanks but I think I’ll do what I want to lol I wanted a car related name for a reason. and I love Axelle for a girl, but Im sure everyone would end up calling her Elle, which I am on the fence about.

Axle* is how you spell that. Axel is most common for naming purposes but I like the real spelling of the word because like the one lady said it’s a car related boy name :).

The proper way to spell "AXEL ,AXLE" is ASKEL.IT’S a great name and very strong name.IN the end of all of it it really comes to preference on how u want to spell it.ASKEL spelled this way is the proper Scandinavian way of spelling it.If u live in the states though some are ignorant to the that fact and might pronounce it the wrong way it’s just how it is.So if u live in the states the other 2 ways might suit your kid better so people don’t pronounce ir wrong.I have a long line of askels in the family tree including my boys name and I seen it all ways. Axel is actually only of the correct ways to spell it. It is an old Scandinavian and German boys name. Another spelling option is Aksel.

I think they both are nice names, however it would be much easier for the child to have it spelled the traditional way.
