alternative vs. to vs. Elijah

I really love the name Elijah for my second son, but I can’t use it. Do you have any suggestions for similar names? Either names with the same "feel", or that I could use nn Eli with? Thanks!

I grew up with someone named Elias, so that might work. For names with the same feel, you might check a list of Bible (Old Testament) names.

Thanks, I like Elias, Micah, Elison and Felix. I’m still "feeling out" Ellis and Elishua-I think I like them as well.

Ok, so my hubby says Felix sounds like a cat name, and Elison sounds too much like a girl name (allison). Thoughts?

I like Elisha, but I know a lot of people on here will say that its a girls name. I think Elias is the best alternative to Elijah.
