I know of a Nataliegh, and I’m personally not fond of the spelling, just as I am not fond of Emiliegh. They just look wrong to me.

I would say Liegh LIE too, not LEE. Leigh is a lovely name and not overused, so I don’t see the point in changing it, unless the goal is complicating the kid’s life.

Well, LEIGH is pronounced LIE. I still think someone (probably ma) misspelled Leigh to the nurse for the birth certificate. They probably don’t know any different...

Ended up here when I came across Liegh and was baffled. Maybe that's pronounced LYE, but I've never encountered it so wouldn't know. Leigh, however, is most definitely pronounced Lee.
