Caleb...it’s the only legitimate spelling in English speaking languages. Kaleb is only legit in Germanic languages. In English, Kaleb looks too modern and trendy.

Caleb! this is my sons mn. Always classier to go with the original spelling imo and also avoids the name being mis-spelt

What is the big obsession with this name? Doesn’t it mean dog? I’m sorry if this is coming off rude, I don’t mean to be. I just don’t see the appeal personally. If I had to choose though, Caleb. Classic is always more classy, especially on a boy.

people think it means dog because it has the same consonants as the word for "dog". it means "like a heart"

Caleb : originality Hebrew - dog, faithful
Arabic - bold, brave
I don’t like the name regardless how its spelled to me it sounds like an old man

My name is Kaleb, so I would obviously prefer "K" over "C", but it’s the same name, and Caleb, I guess is more accepted or common in the U.S.

I have a Brother named caleb and I think that Caleb spelled with a C is better than a K. To me it makes sense to use a C.

Funny everyone is going with "C" because it’s the original way of spelling it and "classier"( if you say so), but when you pronounce it I believe it does come out as K-leb... ijs. I like it better with a K!! How it’s actually pronounced KEY-LahB

K all the way... It says the letter in the name. I'm happy it's less popular.

Just as spelling cool with a "k" is way kooler. So is spelling Caleb with a "k."
It helps if your ansestey is mostly German. Ich bin Kaleb.
How is any name more or less "classy" by the way it's spelled? I'm quite confused on that apparent association.

The originally spelling was with a "K". People think english was the original way to spell, but they forget how old the name truly is. Ties to Germanic and Hebrew and Latin, all of which were created before English.

Many people think Caleb/Kaleb means dog, it means whole hearted... but anyways my name is Kaleb, but Caleb is better and should be so my name stays rather unpopular and not hella common.
