Baby Name Poll

My husband and I have fallen in love with the name Mikayla. I normally choose the traditional spellings of any name and in this case it is Michaela. But I dont like it at all. I dont think it looks feminine or pretty. I know a lot of people would disagree with me on this and I completely understand but it just doesnt sit with me right. In fact none of the spellings sit with me right! Ive seen several different options: Makayla, Mikayla, Micaela, Mikaela, McKayla, Macaila, Etc. My husband is German and their way of spelling is Michaela. I am Ukrainian and our way of spelling is either Mikayla or Mikhaila. Trying to find a spelling that I think is pretty and feminine is giving me a headache and I almost want to scrap the name but we love it so much! How can a spelling really defer you from a name??? So to tie it up in a nutshell: Love the name, do not want too much of a trendy spelling (i.e. Mckayla), DO NOT like the traditional spelling, want it to be feminine just like the name itself. Do I keep the name? Do I find another one? Middle name will be Catherine. Mikayla Catherine Makayla Catherine Mikaela Catherine Michaela Catherine or Mikayla Katherine Makayla Katherine Mikaela Katherine Michaela Katherine I really need some advice on this one! Please give me any and all thoughts on this name and spelling. I know most people are inclined to the traditional spelling but it just looks too masculine to me and if you dont think so then please tell me why. Maybe im looking at this all the wrong way!
