I love the name Sloan for a boy. If we would of had a son his name would of been Sloan Michael (after his dad) Must people say it’s a girls name, but I like it better on a boy. gl

Im glad you said son because I though Sloan was a girl, sorry.

How about something masculine to go with it like

Sloan Wyatt
Sloan Michael

Sloan IS a girls name. Why not name him Elizabeth, or Cindy, or Veronica?

Sloan is unisex I would go Sloane for a girl and Sloan for a boy...the meaning is WARRIOR..so it seems appropriate for both. I say go for it!

Sorry to say but I also think this is way tooooo girly to name a boy.

When you give a boy a girly name it sets them up for teasing and its not fair to him. Give him a mans name and he will love you for it.

Even if it means warrior in some book, it comes across as a feminine boy in real life.

To all the people who were helpfull on this poll and were not rude, thank you! :) Sloan is a unisex name, but it is used mostly as a boys name. My husband and I really both liked the second posters middle name suggestion of Sloan Ryan. Once again, thanks to all the posters who helped!

We also would like to name our son Sloan. I don’t think you can get more masculine than this name.

I love the name Sloan! My second child’s name is Andrew Sloan.
My husband’s name: Alan Sloan. It’s a family name.
We are thinking on naming our next child (I’m 5wks preggo) Sloan Louise for a girl or Sloan Parker for a boy.

Sloan is a unisex name like Dakota. LOOK IT UP. My son will be named Sloan. a MASCULINE name meaning WARRIOR.

Sloan is actually a surname. My maiden name. I'm considering it for for baby 3 if it's a b or g. It's an awesome unisex name.
