Soo we really love the nickname Haddie/Hattie but want a longer first name. Any suggestions of a first name that can have a nn Haddie/Hattie?! We’re expecting in December and aren’t finding out the sex, we have Hudson picked if it’s a boy! Thanks!

Can’t really think of anything good. What’s really the point in giving her a name and then not using it?

Hadley would be good for Haddie, I agree.

I think Hattie could stand on its own. What about Henrietta? <-It’s the only thing I could think of.

I’m debating on naming my daughter Hattie or Haddie. Can’t decide in the spelling. Would like to name her Haddison or Hattison.

Henrietta, is a great name. I share it. It gives choice and flavour as well as being fraught with cool literary and historical figures: queens to civil rights to a wife of Hemmingway.

Haddie
Hank
Henri
Etta
Hen

Name her and nickname her... It is a flexible option. In my opinion it is awesome to have choice.

I have a couple friends that have the nicknames as their name and I think that also all have kept them that having a nickname as ’the name’ has felt anticlimactic at times. My friends ’Bob’, ’Kate’, ’Ron’ would agree as I have heard their life complaints.

This is dated. What did you go with?

Also, Adelheid = Heidi. Loved the books... waiting to meet a true Adelheid, I am 27 and I think I will have to journey to Germany to fulfil this desire.
