I like Brian better because I think it’s cuter and trendier than Bryan. Bryan reminds me of an old man name, not a little kid. Brian is adorable!

It’s a tie for me. When I think of Brian, I spell it like Brian. But if I were to name my son Brian, I’d probably spell it Bryan because it looks more unique.

If you spell the name like Brian it so close to brain. Not only that but Brian is really the name Ryan with a B in front of it so it only makes sense to spell Bryan.

Brian is clearly king, someone who said Bryan was Ryan with a B added is mistaken, the name comes from the surname Bryant with the T dropped. It is a derivation of a last name that was later converted to a first name.

Bryan is better I have lived it for 29 years and have always had it better than the dorkier Brian’s. Bryan’s have an understanding with each other that they are happier being a Bryan then a Brian. I’m sorry Brian’s it’s still a great name, but Bryan is taking over.

When i was little i thought that the way you say the name bryan was different then the way you say brian but the name bryan sounds like you’re curving the name down. Like the Y makes the name curve if you understand what i mean :P

Bryan seems more unique(even though it's pronounced the same and it won't help with two in the same class) and trendy.
This part is from Wikipedia:
Brian:
Brian is a male given name of Irish and Breton origin, as well as a surname of Occitan origin. It is common in the English-speaking world. It is possible that the name is derived from an Old Celtic word meaning "high" or "noble". For example, the element bre means "hill"; which could be transferred to mean "eminence" or "exalted one".[2] The name is quite popular in Ireland, on account of Brian Boru, a 10th-century king of Ireland. The name was also quite popular in East Anglia during the Middle Ages. This is because the name was introduced to England by Bretons following the Norman Conquest...
Bryan:
The given name Bryan is a variant of the given name Brian. This name is thought to be derived from an Old Celtic language word meaning "high", or "noble".
The spelling of the given name Bryan was influenced by the surname Bryan. This surname has several different origins. One origin of the name is from an Anglo-Norman name, de Brionne, derived from either of two places called Brionne in the north of France—one is Brionne, in Eure; the other is Brionne in Creuse. Another origin of the surname is from the name which was brought to England and Ireland by the Breton followers of the Normans, who invaded in England in the 11th century. This name is thought to be derived from the same Old Celtic language element as the modern given name Bryan. When the Anglo-Normans invaded Ireland in the 12th century, this name was confused with the native Irish name Brian. The 'i' in "Brionne" is pronounced like a 'y', and as a result, as the names got confused, the "y" emerged.

I'm Brian and never liked my name but luckily my last name is Mooney and with that last name that's what people call you, some people dont even know my first name. That being said I like I've grown to like my name and named my son Brian and my daughter Breanna and I hate when people ask with an i or y and I'm like AN I!

I'm a Brian and always liked my name. I always say, "Brian with an i." I prefer my spelling because I'm very much a traditionalist.

Brian with an 'I' is really the only way because the letter y is pronounced (why), and that's why! Also, the name Brian looks much better spelled 'Brian'
Another reason is its probably spelled with an i more than 90% more.

Brian is the only correct way to spell it! I'm convinced there's some chromosomal issue with all the Bryan's out there! That was physically painful to spell it with a "y". Why oh why does anyone think y is ok? 😆
