Hannah vs. Hanna

I’m naming my daughter Hannah/Hanna I wanna know which way is the better way to spell her name, I know most people spell it Hannah, but I like them both ways, which way would you spell Hannah/Hanna

I think most people (or at least me) would pronounce

Hannah: han-nah
Hanna: hawn-nah

So which pronunciation at you shooting for?

Well, I think if you don’t care, you should choose the name most people use, just because it will be easier. However, if you prefer the "Hanna" spelling, I think it’s very pretty, and I know someone who spells it that way, so I don’t think it’d be that weird. Good luck! :)

Most people know of the Hannah spelling as the most common so you and she would always have to correct people. Coming from someone named Jaime, I am always having to correct people.

I am a Hannah. I also like hanna but it seems a bit unfinished. Also British people mostly do Hannah and American people mostly do Hanna u choose

We named our daughter hannah from the bible.but each parent should choose how they want to spell it.hanna is also pretty.

Hannah is technically pronounced Haw-nah as it is the Hebrew/Biblical spelling

Hanna is pronounced Han-nah

However most people use the latter pronunciation more frequently across the board

I am a Hannah and so many people (including my orthodontist and coworkers) spell my name Hanna. Not sure why. But I'm sure there are Hanna's out there who have an h added on the end of their name by people they know.
