Considering the name Eliana for my daughter but not sure of the spelling. I figure she can either go by Ellie or Ana as a nn. Also need middle name suggestions if you please. Thanks!

I know a adorable little girl named Eliana Ruth. Eliana/Elliana would most commonly be pronounced "ehl ee ahn uh", while Elianna would be pronounced "ehl ee ann uh". If you prefer a certain pronouncation, then I would take the spelling into consideration.

I would spell it Eliana, however, my friend spells her daughter’s name Ellyana.

Eliana is gorgeous but I only like this spelling which I believe is the original and most common so would cause her the least amount of problems.

Eliana is my first name and it’s pronounced Eh-lee-ah-nah. It’s of Hebrew origin and I happen to be Jewish so that’s the exact way I pronounce it. Eh-lee means God.

Most commonly pronounced Ehl-ee-ahn-uh? In what languages? Eliana is pronounced Eh-lee-Ah-nah in Hebrew, Spanish, Italian, Russian, Polish, Latin, and Portuguese.

My name is elianna with 2 n’s but i have had people spell my name eliana ellieana ellianna and i have had many nicknames ellie and els are my top 2 but i would like to say in latin elianna means sun so it also means god has answered and sun if u are gonna name your daughter eliannn thats a great idea but just dont let her get picked on this one kid called me eli anna for a month but yeah i love my name

My daughters name is Elianna, we call her Eli, Bells, Elabell or just Anna,for short. as her middle name is Elizabeth. She loves her name!!!

We discovered the name Elianna whilst doing a search for Latin names. On this particular site, it was listed as a Greek name. We didn’t know of the other spellings, but are happy with the one we found. When spelling out her name, I always tell people typo write ’Eli’ then add ’Anna’ to it! The name goes well with her middle name, Maria :)

I named my daughter Elianna because of it’s meaning and how beautiful it sounds. I went with the 2 n’s because I didn’t want it misspelled or mistaken for Elaina - which I had read as a comment from someone with the EIiana spelling.

Eli is pronounced as E-Lye. Therefore Elisha is pronounced as E-Lye-Sha and Elijah is pronounced as E-Lye-Jah. So then how could Eliana/Elianna be pronounced as "eh-lee-ahn-uh"? This doesn’t make sense to me. The name Ella cannot be spelled as Ela. Ela would be pronounced as "E-lah". Any thoughts on this anybody?

Brian: The names mentioned are all latinized/ anglicized in our modern Bible. In Hebrew Elijah is Ellie yahoo, Eli is Ellie, etc. Eliana is not transliterated, though I'm sure there are transliterated forms in various languages. Hope that helps.

My daughter's name is Elliana. I chose this spelling because in my opinion only one L would leave the E as long rounding and it would be more E-lee-on-ah.

We named our daughter Elliana Rose. I love how it looks but I hate how people miss pronounce her name! I changed baby doctors cause after a year they was calling her Elena like really I only gave birth through your office?? I wish sometimes we would have went with the original spelling Eliana but her dad stands strong that it should be two LL for the way we pronounce it
