well Cheri makes me feel like i should say Cherry like the fruit... so Sherri or Sherry would be better

I agree with the second poster. Cheri looks too much like Cherry, which makes it seem like a dancer’s name. But Sherry makes me think of a 40 year old waitress with a smoker’s cough.... Between the two, I think I like Cheri slightly better because I like the nn Cher. Shara nn Shari would be cute though.

I’ve heard Cheri pronounced like Sherry many times. Kind of like you would pronounce both Cheryl and Sheryl the same way. And Cher’s name. And the French word "Cher". But I think I like Sherry best.

I think Sheri is the best. Cheri looks a little pretentious and like it might be Cherry. Sherry is an old lady’s liquor.

Poster 6, I agree (usually spelled Cherie). But you can also pronounce it like Sherry
