George is pronounced "johrj". The nn Georgie would be pronounced with two syllables. The German form of Georg (with no "e" at the end) is pronounced "[removed]-ohrg". GL.

It helps to hold your hand slightly underneath your mouth when saying a word if you are trying to figure out how many syllables there are :)
