Boy biblical name vs. close to Cade.
I was walking home yesterday, from taking a walk, and the name Cade popped into my head. Fell in love with it instantly. Problem is, I have 3 kids already with biblical names. Isaiah, Elijah, and Grace. I wouldn’t want to name the little guy Cade, even though I love it, because it wouldn’t fit with the theme, plus, it is obviously way to close to big sister. Is there any boy names similar to Cade that are biblical that you can think of?? THANK YOU!!!

Kade is very nice. I’m sure he won’t care if he has a biblical name (I would spell it with a "K")

Caleb is the only one I can think of right now.
It would fit in great with Isaiah, Elijah and Grace.

I’ll have to think it over, but I think I can dig Caleb. Also, what do you think of Ethan, or Joel? Are those nice ones that are similar in style to Cade? Ethan is biblical, btw. WDYT?

I absolutely love Cade! Caden nn Cade is great. I don’t think it’s too close to Grace, although I an see your concern. I don’t think it’s too big of a deal to not give him a biblical name... Why not go with a biblical middle name?

While I really like Cade, everyone else does too, and I have a feeling Kade/Cade is going to become very popular. I know two under the age of 1.
You can’t go wrong with a Biblical or classic name. They are always in style.
Either way, great names and you can’t go wrong. Goodluck!

I didn’t tell you all this in the beggining but, I’m a freak about meanings of names, and Cade means "round, soft, or lumpy." Can also mean "barrel maker." How weird is that???

If you don’t like the meaning (I don’t either) and you don’t like that it doesn’t fit in with the other kids, then I think you should find another name.

I know about meaning names too which is why "unisex" names drive me insane. Most people don’t know the meaning of the name or ever care to look it up. So I wouldn’t let a meaning like round stop you.

Meaning of names is a big part of how I decide on my child’s name. I’d hate to have the look up their name, and it have a bad meaning, and think My Mom named me after THAT?!
In Highschool I had a project to look up the meaning of our name.

he killed his brother, Cain did. After Isaiah, Elijah, and Grace, I think Cain would be p.o.’d giving him a name after the murderous Cain. Especially because of what the sibling names represent. Thx, though.

How is round a bad meaning? Cameron means crooked nose. How many people know that off hand? Naming a kid with a bad association is worse. See Adolf.

Canaan and Caleb are very nice, I like both of those alot. BTW, I ALWAYS look up meaning of names before I bestow them on my children FOR LIFE. I also knew that Cameron meant crooked nose. EW EW EW. I would never name my kid that, because of that reason, plus I don’t really dig the name, anyway. Also There are TONS of great names with good, solid meanings.
