Laela ????? vs. Layla ?????? vs. Laila ?????
I had an earlier poll and we’ve decided on the name Layla. Husband wants his sister’s middle name (Layla Rebecca), but I agreed with everyone who said it doesn’t flow well at all. He actually said we might have to find a different name to fit with Rebecca. I don’t think so. I was only trying to be nice when I said we could give her that middle name, it has no meaning to me at all. I could think of other people that mean more to me that I would rather name her after. I need suggestions on middle names and spelling. Thanks

I think Rebecca is fine. Flow is only slightly important and if it a family name flow can be ignored, I think. I like Layla Corinne.

As far as spelling my favorite is Leila. Layla is my second choice though. Leila Rebecca isn’t the best flow but I would use it because of family connections. Maybe you can use a different family name, or use his sisters first name as the middle name.

I like Layla Corrine..how about Layla Marie?

Thanks for your comments. I guess because he’s giving in on the first name I can live with Rebecca as the middle name. He wanted Rebecca as our first daughter’s mn but it’s Nicole so this time I’ll compromise.
