personally i would only use Bo as a nickname for your child! poor darling will keep this for the rest of her life, why dont you keep Beau for if you have a boy. Or even Isabella Bo and you can nickname her Bo?!

What about Isabella Bo for a girl and Beau ___ for a boy?
We dont like it for a boy...just a girl..thats where the spelling problem comes in! :(
And we are using Isabella as a middle name (after both our grans)beacuse we know if we used it as a first name is would get shortened, bella, Isa, Izzy etc etc...we really want a first name you cant change/shorten!!
This is hard!! :-(

Bo is a great name for a girl, I was considering it as a mn but it wasn’t working with the names I wanted as fn. I’m not too sure on spelling but maybe Bowe as I have often heard this as last name and it seem common enough for lns to be used as fns!

I like it for a girl too and have polled this name before. I thought it was unisex but was told by posters that Bo is for a girl and Beau is for a boy. But I don’t think it matters to be honest. Go on nameberry.com and it says they’re both masculine forms! Bowe looks a bit made up to me.
I appreciate what you’re saying about a name that can’t be shortened. I like names like that too.
Use it! Honestly. I don’t think it matters. If you love it, stuff what everyone else thinks!

Isabeau! Its kinda ou ther, and I don’t know if you’ll like it. You’ll need a new middle because this is the frenchy form of Isabel. Beau can be the nn. This spelling may be for a boy, but I think it is very feminine because it looks like you are spelling Beautiful.

Bo and Beau are both MALE names. Bo is Scandinavian and Beau is French. Isabeau nn Beau would be the best choice. Another option is the female name of Boann and you can use Bo as her nn.
