I would not pronouce Braden the same as Brai/Brayden so I would go for one of those two. My cousins name is Braden but we prounouce it Brad-en.

Proper Gaelic pronunciation of the name Braden (and its variants: Brayden/Braiden/Braeden) is:
BRAY den.

I like the phonetical spelling Brayden.

My son’s name is Braydan. People always comment on what a great name it is. We chose Braydan instead of Brayden or Braydon because we like to shorten it to Dan sometimes and it sounds more masculine to me.
Braden is a completely different name to Brayden but my son still gets Brad occasionally of a few people (not many, he likes it)
and Braiden is to me a bit more feminine looking, like braiding your hair or something?
GL,
P.S. my son really likes his name and has never been teased at all! :)

Brayden and Braden are the same name.

The boy’s name Braden \b-ra-den\ is pronounced BRAY-den. It is of Irish and Gaelic origin, and its meaning is "descendant of Bradán". Transferred use of the Irish surname. Bradán is a personal name meaning "salmon".

Braden has 12 variant forms: Bradan, Bradden, Braddon, Bradin, Bradon, Braeden, Braedon, Braiden, Braidin, Braydan, Brayden and Braydon.

My favorite spelling is Brayden. We’re naming our son Brayden Alexander, nn Brady.

P.S. I’m the one who wrote about my son being Braydan.
We were reasently looking up names and there meanings. Everyone else had lovely meanings. When we looked up Braydan it means ’son of the salmon’ the look on his face was priceless!! lol he said "ohh great" we still roll over laughing about it. Even he can’t hold back his smile :)
Brady is also Braydan’s most common nn but he prefers his fn. He’s 9

I like the y spelling. It looks the most masculine and makes the most sense phonetically.

Avoid the AY spelling like the plague. It is far to trendy and looks like you cannot spell.
