I personally think dawn is the prettiest way to spell it. the other ways look bad.

Only other way I can think of to spell it is Don, but that’s the boy version so PLEASE don’t go with that.

I am poster two and I still like Dorne. However, why don’t you go with a name which is close to the name Dawn.

My mothers middle name is also Dawn so I might just leave it the way it is I just really never liked it and I don’t want my daughter to feel the same way so is it better to honor my mother and myself or give her a beautiful middle name?

You could always do a double middle name, with Dawn as one of them...

Rose Marissa Dawn
Emma Madelyn Dawn

We decided not to use any family names for our kids, that way no one ever felt left out, and our kids got their own unique, special name. Just our personal preference, though.

If you change it, you aren’t passing it down. Use it as the middle name and let it go. Or, don’t use it.

My wife’s name is Dawne, sounds same just with an e and nobody mispronounces it.

I want a boy name don (to be named after family name dawn) but don’t want the first name don and the middle would be Wayne what do yall think about jordon? (Jordon not jordan) I really don’t know what other name I could put don in any ideas would be great or if I should have the baby with 2 middle names..I am trying to prevent that if possible

My family has passed the name down for 4 generations, my great grampa was Donald (Don for short) my grama is Donna, my cousin is Dawn, and my middle name is Dahn, so I REALLY gotta get creative if I ever pass on the name

Spelling of my name is Daune pronounce Dawn. Unfortunately I am often mistaken for Duane. Matron in the hospital where I was born suggested this spell. Haven't come across anyone with this spelling.

My name is Avril Dawn and me personally i think Danny would be a cute nickname for Dawn, just my opinion but i think all of your comments were good :)
