Josefine vs. Josephine

I’m Hispanic and prefer the Spanish spelling, but my Husband likes the original spelling better. Any thoughts? Would you pronounce them differently?

I love Josephine! My favourite nicknames are Josie and Posy - so sweet and vintage!

Hmm...Josefine is used in Germany and is usually pronounced yo-ze-FEE-nÉ™. In Spain, I believe the most common version is Josefina and is pronounced ho-se-FEE-nah. I like the Spanish version.

I would go with the original spelling to keep from everyone misspelling her name and her having to correct everyone

I voted for the original spelling Josephine. You could nickname her Jo, Jojo, Josie...or even Effie. If you call her Effie, then I think the spelling Josefine would be better.
