Jack vs. Jude

For me, these names are just too similar to use as a sib-set but I love them both so much. I asked my husband to pick but he is fine with either. Whenever he picks Jude I have trouble letting Jack go and vice versa. Jack is more common but for me it is also more masculine and I have always pictured myself with a little boy called Jack. But Jude is so, so charming and I do think it suits our style more. So which one? Please help us make a decision. Finding a middle name for each might help me decide which full name I love more so if you have any ideas please suggest them. Thanks a million! Allie

I prefer Jack. I knew a Jude at school and they were terrible so that name gives me bad memories. Jack is a classic name and almost every boy name goes with it. x

I love the name Jude (my sons name is Jude)..."hey Jude" beatles song and there is Saint Jude! he has a nick name Jujube (like the candy) :-)

I like Jude a lot more than Jack, but Jack is a nice name too.

Jude - more unique and I really like the style of it. Jack is a great strong boy name, but rather plain. What about saving Jack for another sons middle name?

I would definitely go with Jack! I feel like Jude just doesn’t suit any baby boy! Jack for sure! No questions asked ! It’s the better choice! Honestly I’m in love with jack!

Gotta go with Jack, such a manly classic handsome name! Jude i think will be quite trendy. I have Jack Benjamin on my list:-)
