Nicknames for Sydney vs. Other than Syd

We’re having a baby girl and our last name ends in -ie so Sydney doesn’t really sound right. We love love love that name so is there any other nicknames for Sydney other than Syd. We really like Syd too we’re just looking for other options.

My daughter’s name is Sydney. Her big brother calls her Syd the Squid. Then there’s squidney, squidley, her sydness, squid. When she was little she said her name was Sinnie. Most of her friends call her Syd. It’s a wonderful name for a girl. She only had two others in school with the same name.

My name is Sydney... my friends call me Syd, Syd the science kid, and Syd the Kid. My Mom calls me sydney. My dad calls me sydster. My older sisters and Brother Call me Squid, Squidney, Squidward, Squidwardo, and Squidley. They Started saying squid when i was a small child, they thaught it was really funny for they are only 2-31/2 years apart from each other. On my second birthday They BAught me a stuffed squid i sleep with it every night and im already 11!!!!!!!!

I coach a girl named Sydney. I was always calling her Syd, but she asked me not to call her Syd, since it sounds like a boy’s name. I started calling her Nee, since it is the other half of the abbreviated name. I ended up with Nee-Nee. She still isn’t happy though.

My parents called me Sydster and So (my middle name is Olivia). They called me Melbourne (as just a funny family nickname) since it’s another Australian city as well as Aussie. But Sydster and Squid were definitely the dominant ones among my friends

Well, people call me Sydney or Syd(or Sid). For a video game I had to abbreviate it so Syddy. It is rare but my friends made the nickname "Syd's knee." Another more common nickname girls called me in elementary school was "Syd the science kid, with purple dreadlocks(and no two front teeth)," but it really only applies to Sydneys with no two front teeth.
