Which for vs. nickname Mari?

Love the name Mari (marr-ee) but it’s too similar looking to Mary and too short for us to use as a full name. I had made earlier polls with the name Mariella - but we’ve thought about it, and it would more than likely be pronounced mary-ella instead of our desired marr-ee-ella. I will post our names in the first comment. And please let us know your favorite, or if you have any suggestions or opinions. Thanks once again!

Marisabel- cute but a bit long winded.
Marcelline- doesn’t sound like a name to me
Marcelyn- probably my favorite, modern but not too out there
Marchelle- sounds like a Michelle wannabe
Marceen- not a fan but not terrible

I like Marlena! Its like Mariella but wouldn’t be as confusing for pronunciation.

My name is Marielle and I have never had problems with people saying it wrong. If you love Mariella you should use it.

Mariella is pronounced "mari Ella". So anyone pronouncing it different would be wrong. Love that name. My friends daughter has that name and they call her Mari too!

I LOVE MARIELLA! it’s an extremely gorgeous name and we are considering it for our soon to be daughter! I also know a Mariana who goes by Mari.

My aunt’s full name is Mari and everyone pronounces it the correct way. If someone doesn’t all you have to do is kindly correct them. By the time she’s 3 or 4 she’ll correct people herself.

I love Mariella! I also think you should consider Marielle. I don’t think it would be pronounced wrong.
