I LOVE this name but the only way to spell it is the traditional way: Noel. Amazing, unique choice. I wouldn’t use it as a nickname, it stands on its own.

I LOVE your idea of using Nolan with a nickname Nohl/Nole/Noel as opposed to using the name Nohl/Nole/Noel. It gives him options, you know?

Nole is also a nickname for Oliver.
Noel would always be confused with No-elle. So I wouldn’t use that spelling.

I would not pronounce Noel the way you want. I pronounce it closer to No-uhl, with two very short syllables. So that leaves Nole, I guess. It seems odd to me, but it’ll get the pronunciation you want.

Use Nolan. It sounds more professional for job applications later on, and he can always go by Nohl/Nole if he wants.

Nole looks pretty ugly. Nolan is trendy. I like Noel because it is a classic choice. It doesn’t look or sound anything like Noelle. Nohl looks made up.

Nolan NN Nohl gets my vote
I like the spelling Nohl the best, I have a male cousin named Noel except its pronounced No-well so id always mispronounce it the way you want. Thers nothing wrong with the spelling Nole I just think Nohl looks cooler lol GL

We named our son Nole. At the time of his birth, we lived in an area of the US where many would have pronounced it No-el. I wanted to ensure it would be pronounced with one syllable so we decided to use the spelling Nole. We have never encountered an issue with mispronunciation as it is just like the name Cole. I love his name and am so glad we went with our instinct.

I'm quite fond of the name Nole. It's been my name for 46 years. I am a female and my parents struggled naming me Noel because I was born in December and wanting to keep my name something from the family. My great grandmother's name was Nola so I was dubbed Nole although my first baby pictures read Noel (mom wasn't bought in). When I was 35 I received my nickname from my friends children Nolie. I'm quite fond of my nickname as well. I only have one complaint and that is that it is a single syllable name often misheard as no or null. Everyday in a my system dev world I respond to null incorrectly. Love the name you chose.
