I have Nell on my list, and never thought of spelling it as Nelle. And I think Nell sounds more sophisticated as a first name the Nellie.

Is Nelle to be pronounced like Nell or Nellie? I actually love them all. My great grandmother’s name was Nellie and she was sometimes called Nell. Kind of the opposite of those who like Nell as the given name and Nellie as a nickname. Either way, I adore the vintage appeal. But Nelle is very visually appealing as well. My only thought would be whether everyone would pronounce it the way you want. Of course that can happen with virtually any name, so maybe that shouldn’t be an issue.

Hi! I think you should go for the name Nellie as a middle name. Maybe n=make the first name double barrel. Or maybe make it weird. Here are my double barrel suggestions:

i like Nell and Nellie, Nell i think sounds more professional and will age better, with Nellie as a nickname. Nelle, i’m not sure about, it looks misspelled and like you’re trying too hard to be different, and i’m not sure if it’s meant to be pronounced Nell or Nellie, so it’s best just to stick to a spelling people will find easier to understand.
