Marzipan nn Marzi vs. need middle vs. name

What do you think would be a good mn for Marzipan? All I know is that I dont want to use Rose because that would sound like a cake decoration. Last name is pronounced PELL-umm, not Pell-ham.

Of course its a confection -- it’s sweetened almond paste. That’s why I don’t want to use rose with it, because a marzipan rose would be something you’d put on a cake. I like the word marzipan and I like to eat marzipan, but I don’t want to go crazy and name her something like Marzipan Decorations On A Birthday Cake Pelham.

I swear I’m not trying to be rude but...I like the word lemonade and I like to drink lemonade but I’m not going to name my kid that...the same with Spaghetti, Carrots, Chocolate and Lasagna. Remember, you are naming someone who will someday be an adult and have to go to college, get a job, date, etc...not to mention going through grade school!

I am usually one to tell people that if they love a name, they should go for it, but in this case, I have to say that I hope you are joking. I’m sorry, but why name a child Marzipan? I mean, like the pp, I like lemonade, but would I name my child lemonade? No...Please think about how Marzipan Pelham will look on a job application or a resume. I think something similar, like Mitzi, might be cute, but not Marzipan. Sorry, again, but if this is real, I must say that you are setting your kid up for a long, hard childhood.

I love coffee, chocolate, and pizza but I would never name my children after them. Please don’t waste our time with this nonsense. If you like the name Marzi, stick with that. Marzipan is just downright silly and cruel.

Well. who knows? Marzipan could be the next great name of the century. I mean, people are named after plants (Rose, Daisy, Lilly, Heather, Willow, Violet, Holly, Ivy, Acacia), dates (June, May, April, Tuesday), rocks (Jewel, Jade, Crystal, Opal, Pearl, Ruby, Emeralda) and foods (Olive, Peach, Ginger) all the time and I don’t see you all fussing at them. Give it a chance.
