Alice vs. Alyce

We are aware Alyce is a variant of the much preferred, and widely accepted, Alice, however we were never fond of the spelling as it seems A - LICE. Just vote for your favorite please. Thanks!

I pronounce alyse, a-leese. Maybe consider Alison and use the nickname Alice.

I prefer the original spelling of Alice. However if you were to change it then Alyse or Alisse are nice. GL!

Alice, only Alice. I would be more inclined to pronounce Alyce like "ah-lice".

There are lots of names that spell other things if you break them apart or look at what they rhyme with. Charlotte is C-Harlot. Bill is B-ill. Leah rhymes with Diarhea. Luke rhymes with Puke. The list could go on. A person can drive themselves crazy thinking of all the ways to pick apart a name. Alice is lovely as is. Go Alice!

A lice doesn’t even make sense. The individual creature is called a louse. one louse, two lice. Stick with the spelling Alice

Alice. All the other spellings will have your daughter (and you) saying "Alice with a Y" (or "Alice spelled ...") for the rest of your lives.

I don’t like this name with Y, Alice is very nice. Aliss is weird if you take out letters "li" . Alece or Alese maybe. But I think the whole her life her name will be misspelled, which means spelled as Alice

My name is Alyce, and I love the way it's spelled. I have a friend named Alice, but I like my spelling much more. I just like how unique it is. People sometimes mispronounce it, but I don't really care. I just love my name.
