Linkin Parker vs. Lakin ??
my husband and I are HUGE fans of Linkin Park, and we want to name our child after them, we dont know if its a boy or girl yet, for a boy it will be Link Parker, if its a girl we were thinking Lakin, but we cant think of a middle name. THANKS!!

I would say, just use Park if you are stuck on Linkin Park - I think it’s cute!

Maybe name your kid after one of the band members. Linkin Parker does not sound good at all. You could probably get away with Linkin as a fn but not with parker. That’s too much.

Yeah, this is over the top, sorry. I wanted to name a child Nirvana or Sublime when I was 16 but then when I actually had kids I realized I was naming a human being...don’t do this to your baby, it is pretty cruel.

DON’T DO THIS TO YOUR CHILD!!! That is very mean. You may not like the band down the road, they may suddenly go crazy and do something horrible and your CHILD will be NAMED after them! Your kid will be teased. And besides, Linkin Parker sounds stupid. I’m sorry, but it does. And Lakin is not a very pretty name for a girl. You really need to think this one through.

i like the names lincoln and parker but would definitely overrule your husband. just tell himt hat he really has to think of how the baby will be affected. maybe just use lincoln or just use parker. spell lincoln differently or even switch it with parker lincoln? for a girl, i really like laken actually and i like larken too.. laken patrice? laken pria? laken portia? they come from agoura hills.. laken agoura?

Do not do this to your baby! I mean, what if your kid doesn’t like Linkin Park and then has to go around with the name Linkin Parker? I agree, you should use your veto power on the name Linkin Parker.

I agree with the above, but i do like Lincoln Parker. And I love the name Laken for a girl but ive only seen it spelled with an "E" so I dont really like the "I" spelling.
