Adilyn vs. Adalyn vs. Adelyn

I love the name Adaline/Adilyn etc. but I don’t know how to spell it. I want the lyn in it because it’s kind of after my Mom, whose name is Lynne. Spelling suggestions are welcome, as well as middle names. I prefer shorter middle names, because our last name is long. Thanks is advance!!!!

So, you want Adeline but you want to change the name to Adelyn? Adelyn is the best spelling but I prefer the original.

If you kept the original, you could give her a mn for your mother.

Can you be any more rude? Do you want to sound like you are 5? I was asking the non-rude people on this site for their thoughts on it. If you don’t like what I have asked, it doesn’t matter to me. Go be rude to someone who asked for it.

adylin looks like "ad-eeeee-lin" I love Adelyn. It’s a great name/spelling. Good Luck!

The person has a point. You have to give your daughter something she can grow up with and not have to spell out 10 times a day. My name is Alexandra and I already have to spell it out for people. Adelyn isn’t something everyone knows. You’re safer with this spelling. I would have hated it if my mom had spelled my name something like: Alyxsandera or something.

not to be rude but i agree with the other posts. i don’t think your daughter will appreciate a kreativleigh spelde naim. Lynne could be a beautiful MN.
