Eevee vs. Evie
I’m due in less than 2 weeks with my second baby girl. My first who is now 1, I named Victoria Rose. But I’m having a VERY hard time coming up with a name for this one. I’ve always wanted boys so I never gave girl’s names much thought. I came up with Victoria only because I loved the boy’s name Vincent.
I wanted her middle name to be Dawn after my aunt who we were all very close to. But I couldn’t come up with a first name I liked. So I decided to drop the name Dawn completely. Now, my husband and I decided on the name Eevee for a girl. Now we have the difficult task of coming up with a middle name. Since neither of us has ever met anybody with that name, we’re not sure what name to put with it. Any suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated!! Also, we’re undecided on how to spell it. Any other spellings are welcome as well. Thank you very much! ~Terra

I agree with the suggestion of using Evelyn (if you like that name) and using Evie as a nickname. Victoria and Evelyn sound really nice together - otherwise Victoria sounds classic and sophisticated and Evie sounds kind of cutesy.

I love the name Eevee better. I think the spelling is really cool. It’s too bad it was ruined by a stupid Pokémon. I love how its spelt the same backwards too.

I don’t know how old this post is but my daughter is named Evie. We were going to name her Evelyn and call her Evie but my husband is against nicknames so her name is Evie.

When my granddaughter was born her brother was very much into Pokémon and they wanted him included in the naming. He loved the Eevee Pokémon because of its uniqueness. But his mom suggested they just spell it different. The result: Eevie-Joy. Which means Life Joy. And Eevie is the most joyful child I have known.

Actually : Eevie means "breath of life" and so combined it means "joy the breath of life"

Im from Spain and have a 12 year old transgender son. He has chosen Eevee as his new boy name because he loves Pokemon and it sounds good for me because before his name was Abril (April in spanish).
