How should I spell add-uh-lynn? I know Adeline will be said add-uh-line sometimes but I think it looks classier than Adalyn. Do I go with easier to pronounce or classier?

If you want the last syllable pronounced "lynn," for the love of God, spell it "Adalyn." How do you spell that thing you stand in? LINE. Adeline is pronounced "add-a-LINE." My name is CaroLINE and people pronounce it CaroLYN and I am sick of having this conversation.

Adeline is ad-uh-LINE, period. So go with adelyn or adelinn, could even do Adelynne.

Sorry for offending you CaroLINE, I was simply asking a question. I never said Caroline was pronounced Carolyn. Caroline is my middle name, in fact. I understand that it might get annoying to correct people on the pronunciation of your name, but there was no reason to take your anger out at me.
Adalyn is the only other spelling of the name I like. Adelinne and Adelynne just look trashy to me.

I would pronounce Adalyn as Ayd-a-lyn, not add-a-lyn.

Addelyn is my favourite spelling of the name. I think Adeline might get Add-uh-line but I also think Adalyn might get A-duh-lyn sometimes. Out of the two, I prefer Adalyn, but I really don’t care for either spelling, despite liking the name.
