Don’t make it any more complicated than it has to be. Cameron. It’s so easy then people bastardize it with the extra ys and ks and what not.

Poster 1: There are several girls in our town named Camryn with that spelling so that’s why I considered it. I think it’s adorable on them. But I do agree with you and Cameron has been my favorite all along. My husband just thought Camryn looked better on a little girl.

I would use Cambria. Close without being exactly the same. But I’m not a fan of jrs, boy or girl.

Camryn/Cameryn and Cameron are literally the same name spelled differently. Wouldn’t that be a little confusing to have two "Camerons" in the house? I would feel a bit awkward being a girl and having the same name as my father. I also know a lot of people who have and problems with social security and credit because they had the same name as their parent and it was just a mess.

Cambria, Camille and Camilla are different enough from Cameron so it won’t be confusing and gives her other nickname options other than Cam if she doesn’t like them (Bria, Mila, Millie). Other than that I would use Cameron as a middle name if you’re stuck on it. Two people in the house with the same name is confusing on so many levels

I love Carmen for a girl or Cambria, Cameron is too masculine But do what you like :)

I think Cameron is fine on a girl and prefer that to the others, but I think having an exact "junior" in the family regardless of gender can be very confusing and frustrating (my dad and brother have the same first name but not the same middle, and even that often created confusion).

What about Camille or Camilla?

I agree with Camilla, nn Cammy. If you are going to name her after daddy, I’d suggest Camryn.

If her dad’s name is Cameron, then I would only use Cameron as a middle name for her, or a similar name as the middle name. Using the same first name would be really confusing and people would refer to them as "boy Cameron" and "girl Cameron." I do prefer the spelling Cameron for a girl. I don’t like when names look like they’re trying too hard to be feminine.
