Definitely Locke, it has more depth and looks more like a name and less like the spelling of the object. I like the name, I actually think its very cool and attractive. Best of luck!

I prefer Locke. But this is the sort of name I love best if it is a family surname. In that case, it should be spelled however the family line spelled it. I probably don’t like it quite as well if it is not a family name. But it’s still kind of nice. I’d probably go with a longish middle name.

Honestly, I’m not a fan of Locke or Lock. Yes, it’s unique, but it’s too "over the top" for my taste. Also, he’ll be spending his entire life having to explain his name. In his sleep, he’ll be saying stuff like, "No, that’s not a nickname." "It’s my first name, not my last name." and "It’s spelled like a door lock with an e on the end." It might sound like a great conversation starter but he’ll get sick of it quickly because he’ll go through this every time he meets someone new. Just my thoughts and I’m sure plenty of people will disagree with me.

Locke looks better but all in all, the name itself sounds unfinished..? More like a last name. But...

I think poster 4 is mildly insane... (kidding, not trying to be rude, just amusing myself) Why would he have to explain his name? The only name I can think of that would need to be explained that is ACTUALLY a real name, is [removed] ([removed]) I know... I know.
Locke is very handsome and I don’t see how its "over the top" by any means.

ok it was removed... there is a middle eastern name though that should never ever be used in the U.S due to its spelling, its pronounced shi-writing stuff between so it doesn’t get blocked- thead now put the two together and that is how it is literally spelled.

I like it. If you love it, go for it! I agree with poster 3 in that you should probably go with a longer middle name.

Just as long as your last name isn’t Smith (hehe), I think its a great name and I can see it catching on

Him: Hi, I’m Locke.
Other person: Lock? Like a door lock?
Him: Yes
OP: How do you spell that?
Him: L-O-C-K-E
OP: Is that your real name or a nickname?
Him: Real name
OP: Oh, ok.
Conservations like this will occur almost every time he meets someone new, and it’ll be worse when he talks to customer service representatives via phone (if customer services exists in a few years). Might not sound like a big deal but it can get annoying to have conversations like this day in and day out.
