Names vs. To go vs. With Blair
Because of severed developmental challenges my brother will never get to become a parent. I’d like to honor him and use his name (Blair) as a middle name for my expected child, whether it’s a boy or girl.(We are keeping it a surprise). The problem is my married name is Barrett and I’m having a hard time finding first names that sound good as _____ Blair Barrett. When I was younger, ironically my favorite names were Beatrice and Bennett but those obviously won’t work. Any ideas for names that are sort of in that style but that sound good with the double b’s in the middle and last names? Thank you!

Bennett is way too similar to Barrett so that definitely won’t work. Beatrice Blair Barrett actually flows well. There isn’t a huge problem with the triple B initial, it’s just unusual to see and hear. Beatrice Barrett sounds very nice actually. Here are some others..

For a girl I would make her first name Blair but call her by her middle name, the combo would sound better. I think of the female Blair from gossip girl when I hear that name.
