Boy & girl names vs. For middle name Roux(roo)

My husband and I LOVE the name Roux(roo) for either gender but don’t feel it’s a solid first name. We love very uncommon name(not in the top 1000) could you suggest some boy & girl names that sound good with Roux?

You could do Ruby or Ruben with the nick name Roo? My cousin Ruby goes by that :)
Or if you want something more unusual there’s Rubina, Ruella or Ruth and Rudy, Ruan and Rupert

Well my name is Joni Debra Roux. I was thinking if I ever had a son I would name him Roux for his first name in honor of my dad.
