They’re both very handsome. But if this were my kid, I think I’d go with Parker Ryan for him.

However, if Ryan as a first name were an option, I’d have voted for it.

Boy or girl????? See, you might want to go with names that ARE recognized as masculine or feminine.

Since Carter, Parker and Ryan are all in the top 100 for boys and not even close to that for girls, I think most people will assume a child with one of those names is male.

I like Ryan best of the names but I voted for Parker.

^^ Yes, but most people would assume all boys names belong to boys and yet a lot belong to girls, for some reason. That being said, Parker and Carter are kind of generic (a valet could be male or female, for example). Ryan would be a much more distinctively male first name. Although, honestly, I’m not a fan of any of the 3.

I don’t think there’s anything wrong with assuming a child with a boy name is a boy. After all, you have to name boys something and not everybody likes names like Edward and Henry. And since they’re using James for girls now I’m sure Edward and Henry won’t be far behind anyway.

Thanks for your input, but our baby is going to be a boy. We have never met any girls named Carter or Parker, so we don’t think that will be an issue. I did know a girl and her middle name was Ryan. I think Ryan is the most feminine, name in our list. However I don’t like it for a girl at all. It is my husband’s middle name that’s why we will be using it. Thanks! -Catie and Jason

My 6 year old sons girlfriends name is Parker =) we also meet boys all the time with the name. No big deal anymore people.

Id go with Carter Ryan
