Lilyana vs. Liliana vs. Lilliana

Baby girl due 2 weeks Sunday, we’ve decided on the name ’Lily Anna’ but aren’t sure as to which way we should spell it. I love the simplicity of Lilyana whereas my husband likes Liliana/Lilliana; but I find this a bit of a mouthful when the letters are put together. Her middle name will be Esme. Thanks -Marie

I always feel that names like this should be pronounced anna if it has 2 Ns and ah-na if it only has one N.Julianna/Juliana is another good example of this.So I actually wouldn’t say any of these spellings as Lily Anna.
If it were me I’d make it a double first name and spell it like this:
Lily-Anna Esme

I agree with poster 1. Ana = Ah-na, Anna = An-nuh. :)

I actually think that Liliana/Lilliana would be simpler then Lilyana. It is traditional spelled the first two ways, and you would get fewer spelling errors. In my opinion, it looks more elegant that way, too. :)

Liliana. Lilyana is going to be mispronounced. But, if I were naming her, I’d go with "just" Lily. Lily Anna or Lily Esme.
