Callie vs. spellings?

Hi! I’ve found myself stuck between a rock and a hard place so hopefully you all csn help me get out of it. I absolutely LOVE the name Callie, well, the sound of it, but I absolutely hate the spellings that end in -ie. Normally I am very against changing spellings of names but I dispise the -ie ending so much. What do you think is the best way to spell Callie without an -ie ending? Should I just choose a new name? If so any suggestions? My runner up is Kylie, but there I run into the same problem.. Help!!

Love this name and hate the ie endings too!!

For Callie my favorite spelling is Kalli, Kali, Calleigh or Kalleigh.

For Kylie, I love Kyleigh.
My least fave that I would advise you not to use is Kiley, it always looks like Kill-ee to me.

No idea what’s wrong with the -ie, but avoid it by using the full name Calla, which is a type of lily and it means beauty. please avoid anything really stupid like the -leigh ending, they always look completely ridiculous.

I would choose a different name. For me, the personal hassle you would cause your child by creatively spelling her name always outweighs a parents personal preference. Your child could love ie you just don’t know.

You also don’t know if they could love a different spelling. It goes both ways. Nothing wronf with different spellings. I have one myself and love it.
Kali, Kalli, Calleigh, Calli.

An alternate spelling of Callie that I like is Kally

For Kylie, there is Kiley and Kyleigh :)

Love both names, but I think the alternate spellings of Kylie might be more accepted

Most people find it annoying to correct people. They can love their name and not like correcting people.

I love my name and don’t care about correcting people. There’s no way of knowing. It’s up to the parents. I know a girl named Abby (short for Abigail) and she always wished her parents had spelled Abby either Abbi or Abbie.. It could go either way.
I like Kali.

Go with Kylee or Kiley. It looks mostly correct and way more attractive than any alternative spelling of Callie.

Any spelling besides Callie will look illiterate and trashy.

Trashy. Wow no. Changing the spelling of names doesn’t look trashy unless it’s seriously different

Callie. Or calli are pretty. Kallie and Kalli. Different but not trashy. It’s ok to change name spellings. It’s not the end of the world. It’s 2017 almost
