Avalyn vs. Aveline vs. Avaline
I need opinions on this name. I don’t care if it’s two names smashed together I think its beautiful. I like the Avalyn spelling and am worried that if it is spelled Aveline people would pronounce it as ava-LINE. Please help and tell me if it would be a good name for my daughter.

I would pronounce Aveline or Avalyn the same, but with a soft "A" sound similar to Madeline or Abigail. If you want it pronounced like Ava (AY-vuh) than maybe do Ava-Lynn as a hyphenated name?

Hmm, I’d assume Aveline would be pronounced ave-uh-LEEN, not -LINE, personally. If you want the -lyn pronunciation, I’d go with Avalyn or maybe even Avaleine, like the ending of the name Madeleine? Just an idea! Good luck :)

Yeah, you might get pronunciation issues with Aveline and Avaline. Avalyn is probably your best bet as far as simple pronunciation. I kinda like the above poster’s idea of Aveleine. It looks a bit more polished than Avalyn and people know how to pronounce Madeleine because it’s pretty common.

Avalyn is tacky and unattractive, it will look extremely juvenile and immature on an adult. Avaline/Aveline is pretty but if you don’t want it said Ava-LINE or AV-uh-LINE/LEEN then I would throw the name out all together or use it as the middle name.
