Zoey vs. Zoe vs. Zowie

Which spelling? All pronounced Zo-ey though I do know people who name their children Zoe and it’s either pronounced this way as or Zo, anyway thanks a bunch!

Zoey. Zoe is pronounced with one syllable, like Joe or Moe.

Poster two that is incorrect. Zoe is not one syllable. It’s two. It is said the exact same as Zoey.

I agree with poster 2, though I do know its pronounced differently depending on where you are from.

Here in the states (or most of the states and people I know with this name, I’m a 3rd grade teacher) Zoe is said the exact same as Zoey you are just adding a y to the end. It’s just like the name Chloe. I’ve seen it spelt chloey. The exact same, just adding the -y

Zoe is pronounced just like Chloe. You can use Zo as a nickname, of course, but the actual name is pronounced Zo-ee.

Zoey works best if you are afraid that Zoe will be pronouced Zo (highly unlikely, but possible). I have also seen Zoie as well. Zowie is not good.

Zowie I would say just the same (just not the best spelling of Zoe/Zoey.

Zoe and Zoey are pronounced the same way and are the same name. Most know how to pronounce both spellings. Either spelling is fine. Zowie is not attractive and looks weird.

Zoe is the classic spelling and it’s my fave. The other two don’t even come close.
