Benjamin vs. nickname vs. Jamie???
Hello! Benjamin is the name of my husband (and his father) and we thought it be nice to continue the tradition with our son. We want him to have a different nickname that way he doesn’t just become "Little Ben" or "Ben Jr", and we were thinking that Jamie might work? What do you think? If not, can you think of any nicknames for Benjamin? Our families are big on nicknames so if we have to have another set if we don’t want him to be "Little Ben". I think that’s perfect! I always though Benji was best despite the dog reference but now Jamie is officially my fav nn for Benjamin. Jamie, Jay, Ames, James all work. GL

I think it totally works! Benjamin has all the right sounds (benJAMIne) plus the -ie that nicknames tend to have. Go for it! As for other ideas, I do know a boy named Benjamin who goes by Jem (his mom is a huge fan of To Kill a Mockingbird) and I think Bwnjamin nn Jay could work too. Good luck :)

I know a Jamin short for Benjamin so Jamie totally works and Benjamin is a very handsome name, if he’s a 3rd you could also call him Trey
